Good afternoon. Let me start today’s briefing.
Minister of Foreign Affairs Cho Tae-yul will visit Belgium from April 2 to 4 to attend the 2025 Meeting of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO).
On April 3, Foreign Minister Cho will join a meeting of the North Atlantic Council in Foreign Ministers' Session wtih Indo-Pacific partners, during which he will discuss with other participants global security challenges and the situation in the Indo-Pacific region and convey Korea’s commitment to stronger cooperation with NATO, which shares with Korea universal values.
During his visit to Brussels, Foreign Minister Cho will also meet bilaterally with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte and foreign ministers of major countries.
Additionally, Foreign Minister Cho will have an ROK-U.S.-Japan Trilateral Foreign Ministerial Meeting with United States Secretary of State Rubio and Japanese Minister for Foreign Affairs Iwaya, following the one in February, to discuss the North Korean nuclear issue, regional affairs and ways for economic cooperation.
